Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

This is so lovely!! Just what I needed today. Thank you, Lynette!
ReplyDeleteMe again, I thought Melody Beattie sounded familiar, but couldn't immediately placer her. Her book on codependency helped change my life!
ReplyDeleteWillow,
ReplyDeleteThis post came out of the gratitude I am feeling for all the gracious people where I work who helped me during the 2 and 1/2 weeks that Steph and I were without a car. I got the car out of the shop yesterday, and although it's not a new car by any stretch of the imagination, and it still has some minor issues, I was SO GRATEFUL to have MY car back! AND because I got my income tax refunds, Stepha and I were able to go out IN OUR CAR and have dinner together, (nothing fancy, just a favorite Mexican place), and then over to get some things we needed at the store.
It's all so very simple, but I'm so very grateful. :)
