Square peg in a round hole

Have you ever had one of those days where you looked all around you and felt that you just didn't fit in? That was the kind of day I had yesterday--one of those irritating, disconcerting kind of days when I was left feeling like a misfit, the proverbial square peg in a round hole. Thankfully the mood passed as soon as I came home and found the one I love sitting at her computer, looking like a nerd in her black "Buddy Holly" glasses and Hawaiian shirt, working on a client's website. I realized then that there was one place where I fit perfectly.

  1. I'm glad to hear that you were able to find peace with yourself and where you feel you belong yesterday. Me...I'm working on learning a lot this week and hopefully being the wiser for it.

  2. I usually feel like a square peg in a square hole allright. Only I don't fit.
So glad you have found your one true love and can write about it. I am sure you give a lot of hope.

  3. That has been my state of being my entire life until recently, when I stumbled across a self-help book on introversion and realized what and who I am, and more importantly, realized that there's nothing wrong with me! I'm just wired differently from the other half of the population. With this understanding, I'm able to shrug off things that formerly would have infuriated me or caused me to dissolve into tears and self-pity.

Glad we've both found our peace!
