The Willow Manner Ball

Today is the day that I will be escorted by Herr Mozart to the 2nd Annual Willow Manner Ball.  I shall begin the day with a lovely breakfast of Belgian waffles with blueberries and whipped cream, a thick ham steak, and a cup of Earl Grey tea with sugar and cream.  Then I shall take a long luxurious lavender scented bath and afterward, my maids will begin to dress me for the ball.  I shall be wearing the following:

First my hair must be pinned and capped, before my wig can be put on.

These are lovely necklace and ear bobs that I shall wear.

 Then, of course, my gown.

Of course, a lady never leaves the house without her fan.

And I found the most lovely pair of shoes!  Aren't they simply elegant?

I can hardly wait!

  1. Hello Lynette,

Such a wonderful outfit! I'm sure Herr Mozart is enraptured. And the dancing is exquisite but, my, doesn't all that bobbing play havoc with one's knees?!

Miss Piggy was a little jealous of your curls and ringlets until I explained about it being a wig, which pleased her no end! And did I really see you tucking into all those delicious desserts? Better get back to dance floor. Would you do me the honour?

  2. Grace personified! And your dress! Divine! You were quite flirtatious behind that fan.Kevin Costner remarked to me how well behaved everyone was in that room. I told him they just about tumbled over each other vacating those chairs when the food was served.Herr Mozart however, was very polite.

  3. Did you hear all the gasps and whispers as you entered the Manor? I think all the ladies were soooo jealous of your gorgeous dress! You look smashing! Love the wig...the shoes....you really outdid yourself! I overheard several gentlemen fighting over who would get the next dance with you! ;) OK...I'm off now for another raspberry tart...weren't they divine?.....

  7. Oh, I love your outfit! I may be tomboy-ish, but I still love feminine gowns. And how I would love to learn to dance like that!

  8. Drop dead gorgeous! The minuet you danced was so beautiful and elegant. My date Fred Astaire really wanted to learn those steps, but I told him it wasn't his turn to shine. He needed to save himself for our "Dancing Cheek to Cheek" turn!
