I hate time changes

It's nearly six in the morning, but my body thinks it's only five. I don't understand why we continue this useless and archaic ritual known as "daylight savings time". When I was a mother with little children I hated it even more. It threw my babies completely off schedule for weeks, making them tired, grumpy, and out of sorts until their little clocks could adjust.

Grrr...I want to go back to bed!

  1. I'm totally with you on this, Nettl! I hate it, too. Not just because I have a myriad of clocks to change, and it throws my body out of whack, but because it smacks so much of humankind trying to exert total control over nature. By the time I've adjusted, it's time to change the clocks again! Double grr!

  2. That makes three of us!! It seriously takes me the whole six months to adjust. Then it starts all over again. It's totally ridiculous.

I remember it doing the same thing to the babies' schedules. It was awful!!

  3. Well then, that's 4 of us who don't like the time change! I read a study about the effects of daylight savings time and it actually forces people to consume more things like electricity, gas for vehicles, etc., which means it costs us more in the long run to keep up this tradition, a cost that I'm sure many families could do without right now.

  4. It's never bothered me, for some reason. I just don't like changing the clocks.
